Departure will be on Monday 8th July. The ferry departs Coll at 12.45 arriving Oban at 15.25 (Oban-Glasgow train then arrives in Glasgow at 21.24).

There are three main recitals during Music Coll on 5th, 6th & 7th July.  The three public recitals will be at An Cridhe, Coll’s fabulous community centre. It is expected that each group will perform at least three main works at these recitals.

The daily schedule is structured into 4 sessions which are arranged between the Tutors and the Artistic Director but very much in conjunction with the performers’ own preferences. The daily sessions are timetabled as follows:

9.30am – 11am, 11.30 – 1pm, 2.30pm – 4pm and 4.30pm – 6pm

The evenings are free on non-concert days with dinner at 7.45pm.

The Tutors & Staff will stay with various hosts on the Island. The Young Musicians will be staying in the excellent Coll Bunkhouse adjacent to the main centre at An Cridhe. Breakfast will be Self-Catering in the Bunkhouse and a delicious lunch and dinner will be provided at An Cridhe or at the Island Cafe by our superb team of local chefs.

There will be a full paying bar during the evening meal.

The final Sunday afternoon is a mixture of a more formal Concert followed by a more relaxed hour or so where the audience (with children) can come and go a little. We like groups to perhaps play one or two shorter, light items during this time so please bring any ‘lolipop’ items you may wish to play. There may also be the opportunity for groups to mix up a little with each other and play a short work or movement they might have found time to rehearse during the week. If you think you would like to try a piece out then please bring the music!

All performers should feel free to contact the Artistic Director at any time if they have any questions about Music Coll.
